Professors Mikhail Chamonine (OTH Regensburg) and Stanislav Gorb (CAU Kiel) presented overview talks and introduced the MAESTRI project at the 1st International Symposium on Physical Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (IS-PAIR 2025) in Thailand. Plenary talks by Professor Gorb, “Insect Attachment Systems Used in Locomotion: Bioinspirations for Surface Science and “Magnetoactive Elastomers: Novel Materials for Soft Robotics and Other Applications” by Professor Chamonine generated significant interest, evidenced by numerous audience questions.

Expanding their outreach, Professors Chamonine and Gorb visited King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and Kasetsart University (KU) to present their research and discuss topics relevant to the MAESTRI project. Furthermore, Professor Gorb and Professor Manoonpong were Invited Speakers at the International Symposium of Advanced Robotics & AI (SARAI 2025), hosted by the Institute of Field Robotics (FIBO), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).

The visit was organized by Professor Poramate Manoonpong (University of Southern Denmark, SDU). He was the General Chair of the Symposium and carried the main working load of the logistics behind this visit. Chamonine and Gorb greatly appreciate the efforts of Professor Manoonpong.
