Welcome to the second MAESTRI conference!

We are pleased to announce the 2nd International Conference on Magnetic Soft Matter for Robotics. This new conference series was initiated within the framework of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network MAESTRI (Grant Agreement No. 101119614), with the aim of creating a dedicated platform for this emerging application field (magnetic soft matter for robotics), which we believe holds great promise for groundbreaking technologies in the near future. The conference series will serve as a forum for researchers from diverse disciplines and industry sectors to come together, exchange ideas, and present the latest advancements in the field. The inaugural conference will be held on 3–4 September 2026, at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark.
We look forward to welcoming you to Odense!

About MAESTRI

MAESTRI, an acronym for “MAgnEtic SofT matter for RobotIcs”, is a consortium composed of 7 academic and 2 industrial partners. The goal of this consortium is to train a new kind of experts in the emerging application field of magnetic soft robotics. This way, we want to explore the magnetic tunability of relevant properties, shape adaptation, and self-sensing properties of magnetoactive soft materials for real-world robotic applications.

Program

The conference will take place on the 3rd and 4th of September, and will include 10 invited talks by leading experts and poster contributions.
